It is very important that one should make goals in order to achieve them. Without proper focus, one can easily fall off the track and become loser. I believe new technology skills, advanced studies and critical thinking are very important for advancement and success in today's rapidly growing workforce.

I am inherently committed to education, as my father Dr. Narong Mongkhonvanit, was an educationalist. In 1963 my father established the first private vocational and engineering school in Thailand, named "Charng Kon Siam," (Siam Engineering School). He was one of the first educators in Thailand to emphasize the importance of the private sector in education. In 1970, he established another institution, namely “Siam College”. It is the third oldest private institute for higher education in Thailand.
Siam Engineering School has now converted into the Siam Institute of Technology. More than 10,000 students are enrolled in this institute. Siam College is now called the Siam University. It is one of the Thailand’s largest private universities with more than 18,000 enrolled students.

To support research activities for both institutes, the Siam Research Institute was established in 1997. By utilizing modern technology and keeping in view the globalization my family’s plans are to establish a new campus in 2005 focusing on distant learning, executive education and international programs. I want to ensure the highest level of development and educational quality for students at both national and international level, supported by the comprehensive national reform that was launched by the government of Thailand. In this context, my aim is to participate in the national reform by focusing on the fields of human development and education.

Through the years, as I have gained good experienced as an institutional administrator and a lecturer in Thailand, I have also achieved a great degree of understanding of educational management and problems within the decision-making framework of an institution under government supervision. I have also served as an Executive Assistant to the President in International Affairs and Development at Siam University. I was responsible for various tasks related to international programs within the university, international relation with foreign universities and international organizations and developmental issues. I initiated a relationship between Siam University and other foreign universities for exchange programs and academic cooperation regarding international relation.

Siam University now has bilateral partnership with thirteen highly recognized institutes all over the world. I also assisted an international program to recruit overseas students and provide financial support to foreign students. Through enormous efforts, the International Program at Siam University prepares all students to be effective in their future. At present, Siam University hosts around 300 foreign students from twenty-two different countries. In order to support all students in the right manner, university needs to facilitate and support them on individual and cultural basis. As for student development program, my foreign educational experience has helped me a lot to successfully implement new ideas.
