High school and college have really helped me grow as a responsible person. I have developed many skills that will be beneficial for me throughout my life. My stay at high school and college has been a positive drive in my life.

In high school and college I have learned three most important lessons: leadership and teamwork, respect and confidence. My personal development has been greatly enriched through high school and college studies and it will continue to have a positive impact on all my endeavors in life.

High school and college have provided me with the ability to appreciate the importance of teamwork and leadership. I have experienced some incredible relationships that can be formed with a team. I have also realized that people working together in a team can accomplish things which no individual can ever achieve. This makes me a better person, knowing that half of my success is in me and other half in my teammates. Now I realized that each person should work in ‘his field’. Adjusting myself to a team situation and working as one unit will help me in similar life situations. During my stay at high school and college I was given opportunity to work on several group projects in which I held the responsible position of a group leader. This not only helped in strengthening my leadership and coordination abilities but also allowed me to appreciate and realize the importance of teamwork.

Respect is a key to successful life. Respect is when we are kind to people then they are kind to us. Respect is listening to the teachers, respect is obeying our parents. I have learned to respect everyone around me. I have learned to respect human life at all ages and in all forms even if I do not like someone. Respecting my teacher has made me realize the importance of my own parents in my life. I realize and appreciate what they do for me and how they are always there for me with every step I take. I have learned to control my emotions when I am are angry. When someone fouls me, I want to get up and hit them; but I have learned to control my impulsiveness and analyze every situation calmly and rationally before reacting towards it. I have also learned to respect all religions regardless of any differences and conflicts.

The most important lesson I have learned is confidence. It is very important that one should make goals in order to achieve them. Without proper focus, one can easily fall off the track and become lost. I am always confident that I will achieve my goals in any situation. I have a confidence to prove myself in front of others. I am confident to face all problems and take challenges in my life. I realize that in this rapidly growing world it is important to be responsible, personable, energetic, dynamic and a dedicated individual. I am confident to handle any situation in my work place efficiently, and can independently work on any assignment. In addition to possessing these attributes, I am also confident that I would prove to be a valuable asset to your institution all of my time.

High school and college have contributed to my personal growth in several other ways. I have become a more responsible decision maker; I have learned to set goals in my life that are challenging but achievable; and I have also improved my communication skills. The most important lesson that I have learned is that in order to achieve goals in my life, I must also learn to face defeat. Now I have strength to accept my defeat and never quit and try again and again. High school and college have taught me to never be afraid to take risks in life. I have realized that high school and college have helped me achieve one of the most important things in life: discovering who I am and now I am confident to say, I am ready to face new challenges.
