Book of Exodus is the most significant book in the Bible. It entails the story of the Exodus and our creation as a people; it embodies the discovery regarding our moral code, rituals, and religious institutions. It has taken many years of study to comprehend that the Book of Exodus is not as consequential as the Book of Deuteronomy, for the latter change the former; we comprehend Exodus through the eyes of Deuteronomy.

Deuteronomy text is more compassionate than that of Exodus; this is moral progress. Deuteronomy, it would seem, is more benevolent than Exodus but less humane than Leviticus. Deuteronomy, for example, states that the master should give provisions to the freed servant, seeing that Exodus does not have anything about this. In Deuteronomy, though, there is such a thing as the constant subjugation of an Israelite. Deuteronomy does not seem to have the same anti-slavery ideal.
 

Each great early civilization was clutched concurrently by power and traditions. The power of political and social elite’s and the traditions, which are, incarnated in the grand religious and philosophical value systems that brand all dominant civilizations.
 

These traditions give significance to political and social institutions-to-family life, education, government, and the marketplace. Although it is not constantly cited by reason of that it is taken for granted, the power and traditions of any society or civilization are reflected in its laws.
